A: There one main reason that spot was chosen, it over looks all three areas in the middle of New Mexico, El Paso and Juarez Mexico
Q: What trends influence hikers to walk up barefoot or carrying a cross up the mountain?
A: On the last Sunday in October and good Friday, they use their feet or a cross to make the walk up more significant.
Q: What are some details of the importance of Mount Cristo Rey before the monument was on it?
A: It was the highest point between Juarez and El Paso at one point it was call "mule drivers mountain" because it was a good place for mules to circle to keep a mule corral. Close to Mexican revolution it was named after general Orosco and called "Orosco hill" .
Q: What patterns in the creation of the monument led them to choose 14 crosses/stations?
A: It was standard in catholic religion to have 14 crosses, each cross has a prayer for each of the 14 stations of the cross.
